Fenty Beauty was the makeup launch of last year— literally. Well why wouldn’t it be?  The brand created some of the most exceptional products which cater to women of any culture, any skin tone, any race and any religion. It’s not a secret that the beauty industry has often been more favoured towards white skin tones and products often for deeper skin tones are not considered to be produced as brands think they are a waste of product. RiRi didn’t just launch a highlighter or some lipsticks,  she started out with a bang by releasing a whooping amount of 90 products in 17 countries at 1,600 stores. ALL AT ONCE!

What we think about it:

 Formula:

Formula wise, it is a cream-powder hybrid that instantly melts into your skin while you apply it. I did come across flying specs of glitter during the application of this highlighter. It is definitely more on the glittery side compared to other highlighters in the market. However, the specs are very fine and that is what makes the highlighter glisten! 

Application:

Upon application I noticed, this is not one of those highlighters that can be picked using a fan brush since it has tiny specs of glitter that can go all around your face or in the areas you don’t need that glitter. Make sure you are using a dense highlighting brush, spray it with your setting spray and highlight your way to glory! Always make sure you start with a small amount and build your way through to your desired level of glow.

Our Verdict:

It isn’t like one of your everyday highlighters. It is one of those highlights you can see from the ouster space! It is beautiful for those sun-lit brunches, a night out with your girlfriends, its very fun and bold! And I love that. There are times you just want to, well, shine like a diamond. The pigmentation is just gorgeous!

The only drawback is you need you have to be extremely careful with it as if you take too much product on the brush, you’ll end up with a huge gold swipe on your face. I literally put it everywhere, in my inner corners, on the brow bone, on the high points of my check bones and eyebrows, my nose, and the Cupid’s bow. I could just drown myself in this gold beauty. 

We tried and tested out this highlight for an outdoor campaign video shoot and boy it glistens! Sharing below a few pictures from the shoot. 

It’s safe to say that whatever Rih touches turns to gold and this highlighter will be your tool to glowy, shine-bright-like-a-diamond glow!
