We recently visited the 4th annual Lafayette food fest ’15 at The Dubai Mall. This event was a gourmet food galore for foodies all over Dubai! The three-day gala food fair was a celebration of different cuisines exhibited by the suppliers
as well as the Lafayette gourmet own kitchens. The vibes were braced by live music, hang drummers, guitarists, slit-walkers and jugglers making it an entertaining food festival.
We thoroughly enjoyed the cheese tasting, which included a selection of their finest cheese. Our top favorites were blue cheese, Parmesan, mozzarella and taleggio.
Heading on to the next station, we witnessed the magic created by chef Eric Percy, who was ducked in creating a beautiful intricate spring salad, it was an absolute pleasure watching him assemble all the minute ingredients plucked from his array of fresh local herbs garden, we were in love with his mini assorted herb garden tray.
We absolutely dig the seafood here! We went for some classic sushi by Sushiart and the tender wasabi prawns. The prawns were cooked to perfection and the wasabi sauce complimented the dish exceptionally.
We then headed to our favorite, the Indian stall. Dishes as simple as pani puris were mouth-watering and crisp to perfection.

Other than the tastings, we were thrilled to attend informative workshops held by renowned chefs, giving us insights on their famous recipes. We particularly loved the demo by chef Haley Mac teaching us about raw vegan cooking. We learned how to make raw granola, almond milk and so much more!
For desserts, we were spoilt for choices! We were offered
an assortment of sweets like macaroons, chocolate and caramel éclairs, crepes, moroccan sweets etc. The ice-cream flavors here are exceptional and rare. The mojito and bubblegum flavored ice creams are a must-try!
Bon Appetite, indeed!
