Hi guys, todays post is all about my latest hair transformation with Beauty by edge. Let me start by telling you why I chose Beauty by edge for my hair transformation. The Edge is a one of a kind salon opened in amidst of Mercato mall on Jumeriah road. I don’t think I have seen a space that combines retail with a special hair design room. They literally specialize on all things hair! It’s a one stop destination for hair extensions, hair- clips ins, eyelashes, nails, hair accessories and more.

Dubai has an end number of salons to try out and its often too overwhelming to choose where you want your desired treatment to be done. Often so many questions run in your head before you actually decide to color your hair. Would it suit you? Would the hairdresser do a good job? Will it affect my hair? Will it drastically change my look?

 

First look at the salon, Beauty by Edge is truly the most stylish and edgy salon I have been to in a while, I like the fact it solely focuses on all things hair! The staff was very friendly and made sure I was as pampered as ever.

 

 

 

I decided to speak to my hairdresser dolly who is a very talented hairdresser and has been in the industry for a decade. We discussed about what looks are trending right now, without doubt she asked me to go for an Ombre. I absolutely love how Ombre looks but she also suggested it dries out your ends and its very high maintenance which means a lot of blow drying, straightening and curling to keep them looking good. Basically high-maintenance hair! Knowing myself, I wish to really reduce all the blowdry, curling and straightning and limit it to just shoots and special events. Finally, after a lot of contemplation I along with my hairdresser decided to go for a Dark brown global hair color with gold accents/ highlights. These would not make my dry ends appear more dry and are low-maintenance as well.

 

Whilst getting my hair done I enjoyed music on Netflix and tea along side some fun magazines to read. Dolly also decided to give me a few long layers as I dint want my length to reduce and pretty much wanted all the dead hair to be cut out. I absolutely love when hairdressers listen to you. In the past I had been to a few who would reduce the length by half  if you asked them for just a trim. I’m sure many of us can relate to this. I was so glad my hairdresser followed exactly what I wanted. She literally cut an inch of my hair and left it with beautiful layers, which added more movement to my hair rather than being straight and flat.

 

Honestly, its one of the few salons I was happy with once I left it. If you are anything like me I dread hair color/ cut appointments and usually end up unhappy with the results. So guys, if you looking for a hair transformation this summer, Style Edge is definitely the place to be. They LISTEN to you and do exactly what you need.
