It’s that time of the year when we’re all excited to bring out our much treasured winter knits, jackets, leg warmers and boots. As excited as we are about winters and all the extra layers and outfit ideas the season brings let’s not forget we live in DUBAI. Where we don’t actually get to experience all 4 seasons yet we try to meet the fashion requisites of spring, summer, autumn and winter. Fashion doesn’t have to come with discomfort. Therefore, you need to have it figured down to one word- BALANCE. Go for dull colours, wear summer clothes underneath your jackets, pair jackets and shorts, woollen skirts to keep half your legs warm? That’s how we Dubians do it in the ‘winters’.

One such wintery-colour I’ve been obsessed with this season is TEAL. The colour rightly screams winters. I love how it’s so dull and yet can easily be that pop of colour to any of outfit. Sadly, I don’t tend to see clothing of this colour too often but when I do, like this one time, I involuntarily grabbed this beautiful laced up top from Aeropostale.

I decided to pair this gorgeous teal top tucked in half way through a tweed checked skirt. Another amazing find has got to be this tweed checked skirt. I love how the checks are far apart from each other and the colours are minimal and within the wintery colour palette. If it’s colder on your side of the world, you could probably add a jacket and stockings to this look to keep you warmer. The look wasn’t complete without adding in these perfect peep-toe booties.
