Marc Jacobs: Snake Charmer lip lacquer review

LIP LACQUER

Enamoured hi-shine gloss lip lacquer lip-gloss by Marc Jacobs beauty claims to delivers maximum color and brilliance. This mint-scented lip-gloss collection features an array of creamy pinks, shimmering lavenders, and iridescent bright that give lips a lush look with lasting color and unbelievable shine. Formulated with a unique triple shine complex, a blend of high-performance ingredients, it delivers unstoppable wear and shine like “30 coats of lacquer.” The brilliant shine contributes to an optical plumping look, and it feels cushiony on the lips—not sticky.

OUR VERDICT:

An ardent fan of the brand, we love the products they have been coming out with lately. From their runway inspired eye shadow palettes to their very last drop of the Coconut collection, the primer and highlighter drops in ‘dew you’ from this collection are an absolute must-have!

To be honest, I’ve always loved how glosses looked, but I absolutely hate how sticky and tacky these can get so we pretty much try to stay clear of glosses until we got our hands on the snake charmer collection by Marc Jacobs. These have got to be one of the most comfortable glosses I’ve ever tried. Been wearing lip-gloss out more than usual since we received these.

The packaging contains five miniature-sized glosses. All shades are a part of the permanent range, so these can be purchased individually should you favor any one of them.

Coming to the formula, its super hydrating and butter like. It goes on super smooth and does not pull the lip lines. Feels very rich on the lips and has a refreshing minty scent to it.

The formula of all the colors as a part of the collection is more on the opaque side. And I really don’t mind this since this gives me the flexibility of wearing it by itself or even as a lip topper.

Colours included in the range:

LIP GLOSS MARC JACOBS

Skin deep: Is a medium, rosy beige that gives your lips the most beautiful shine, and pinky hue and neutral-warm undertones. Perfect for when you want to go for that no-make up look.

Sugar Sugar: A light peach with slight orange undertone and beautiful gold reflects. This color is a bit too light for medium to dark skin tones.

Ch-ch-changes: This is probably my favorite color from the range, a very rich coppery brown with warm orange undertones and shifting green-to-bronze pearl reflects. This is one of the more unique shades and probably exclusive to Marc Beauty. If you want to get one of these colors, I’d suggest you went for this one.

Raspberry beret: A medium purple with warm, pink undertones and smooth finish. The reflects in this one are more on the muted side and gives your lips that perfect glass like finish

Boys don’t cry: This is one color I wish was more pigmented; it’s such a beautiful dark purple with warm and pink undertones.
