This spring/summer we’re all about the embroidery trend. This trend has been emerging in the form of dresses, shirts, trousers and even jackets and we’re so in love! Embroidery in any form, be in floral, Aztec or patches add a unique, intricate and colorful detail that makes any outfit pop and really brings in that statement making factor to a piece of garment.

You guys know how much we love layering and in our opinion layering should most certainly not be limited to a certain time of the year. However, one of the trickier parts of spring/summer dressing is getting your outerwear right. I’ve always loved the bomber jacket trend and more so lately since they’ve been given new twists and all sorts of details which means there’s something to suit all tastes: embroidery, patches, oversizing, light-weight satin and sequins – you name it! Recently, while browsing through Namshi this floral bomber jacket from ONLY really had me at it’s beautiful detailing and I absolutely had to get my hands on it! The intricate detailing of floral on this jacket is what caught my eyes and I like the mixture between luxurious silk and the casual fit of this bomber jacket. My go to jacket has always been a leather jacket but it’s nice to switch it up for something lighter especially when the summer is hitting in.

I love how versatile these jackets are and that they can we worn with denims, skirts or even shorts. They act as the perfect top layers and can always be counted on to make a statement.

Styling this was fairly easy so I decided to go for this pleated metallic dress to add a subtle contrast in terms of the satin-metallic duo. I love how these two fabrics compliment each other. For accessories, I decided to add a bit of glam to this look with these hoops. Overall, we absolutely love how a floral bomber can add to any look. Its definitely one of our top wardrobe essential!
