Diwali outfit: Ethnic wear

Hi guys, todays post is going to be on one of our favorite style of clothing, Indian wear! Diwali is here and we wanted to share with you guys what we would be wearing on this special occasion. How can one not love this time of the year? When everyone’s houses brim with lights, sparkle and shine all over and how can we forget the SWEEETS. The whole city gleams along lanterns, lights and diyas.

Finding the right outfit for this occasion can be quite a task cause as much as I love ethnic-wear, it can end up being way too heavy to handle. I usually look for pieces that are lightweight but have a lot of movement and flare since they end up giving you just the right amount of glam for the occasion and simplify moving around since you know how crazy Diwali can get.

For this look, I decided to pair this off-white pants (also known as Sharara) these are so versatile since they can be paired with long kurtas or even crop tops if you’re planning to go for a chic indo-western look. I can’t even begin to describe how comfortable it is to walk around in these and don’t they have like most beautiful flare ever?? I simply can’t get enough of these!! I decided to go more traditional for the occasion hence I paired this up with a gold sequined blouse and threw on a plain white dupatta to match with the Sharraa.

For accessories, I just went with some tradition kundan earrings. I love how the whole outfit is minimalistic, comfortable and yet glamorous. All the items from this look are from different shops in India; hence we can’t really give you details on where you can find them. However, this post gives you an idea how to create your own personalized look from the items you might already have in your house =)

Wishing everyone a happy and prosperous Diwali! Xx
