Hi guys, we recently had a pleasure to attend the Carluccio’s pizza making class from scratch at their Carlucci’s JBR branch. Carluccio’s is well known for its authentic pizza making and we have tried the best pizzas here which are very true and authentic to its roots. Hence, when we were called to find out how this delicious pizza is made, we couldn’t have said no to this one! We thereby share with you through this post our experience as well as some amazing inside tips shared by the chef.

 

Head Chef Cyrus paced us through what goes into making pizza as good as Carluccio’s serves. What makes their pizza standout is the quality of ingredients used. He gave us some amazing tips to create the perfect pizza, revealing the secret to a light and fluffy pizza dough.

 

With all the ingredients required before us, we started making the dough following step-by-step instructions from the chefs. They were very helpful and provided individual attention to every student present in the class. Cooking has never seemed so easy and fun!

We then topped our pizzas with our preferred toppings and handed it to the kitchen counter to be baked. When our pizzas came before us, it was almost impossible to believe that they had turned out so delicious!!
Tips we learnt from the class:

  • Always use quality ingredients; from the flour to the yeast to the tomatoes for the sauce, everything needs to be of the best quality in order to create the perfect pizza.
  • After preparing the dough, you need to let it sit for 48 hours for the pizza to be really fluffy and light.
  • Always use fresh mozzarella cheese, trust us they make a huge difference.
  • The perfect recipe to the sauce of the pizza is nothing but tomato puree, olive oil and fresh herbs.

 

All on all, we thoroughly enjoyed the masterclass and some wonderful facts about pizzas and we recommend this class to everyone who would want to learn how to make their own pizza from scratch (:
